In the latest report from PEN America, [Banned in the USA: The Mounting Pressure to Censor](https://pen.org/report/book-bans-pressure-to-censor/), researchers found that book ban instances continue to rise. More than 3,300 instances were counted in the 2022-23 school year. Taking the lead position over from Texas this year: Florida with 40% of all bans recorded in the Sunshine State.
