Trying to read more literary suspense and upmarket fiction, suggestions?

I am a big Mystery/Thriller reader.
I want to read something like literary suspense now; however, the genre is not very evident on Goodreads and other platforms—it seems people have opposing opinions about what makes some novels “literary.”

Regardless, I recently read Rebecca and found the prose insanely beautiful and really liked it. So I want a thriller or suspense novel with literary/highbrow flair, please. I don’t mind dark or psychologically disturbing books. I love anything character-driven that makes the reader think and consider things oftentimes considered evident.
