Does anyone know this book/novel about “An historical time England; where the heroine sneaks or tries to be inconspicuous into a gambling hell or club or casino.
To steal back her family’s land/property paper which now states that their property is now the Male leads ( who is the owner of the gambling place); that the heroine’s brother or cousin (idk); which he bets on giving away for money but loses instead.
So the heroine gets into the office of the male lead and gets back the paper back but is caught because the male lead sees her and asks why she is there and she answers that she a “women who wants a good time with him” so she seduces him; while “doing it” she gives her virginity to him without him knowing.
But I forgot what it’s called and who the author is 😫😫😫😫😫😫
