So I’m in a sort of dilemma. Exam season is finally over and I want to break my book ban. The only issue is that I’m stuck in analysis paralysis. I can’t decide what to read. A couple of standalones or a series? Something sweet and short or epic? A literary novel or fantasy?

So, I figured I’d just tell y’all my favourite books of all time and maybe you could give me suggestions on what to read. Alright, here goes, in no particular order:

    1. Matilda by Roald Dahl

    2. Red Rising Saga by Pierce Brown

    3. Catcher In The Rye

    4. The Help by Kathryn Stockett

    5. The Metamorphosis by Kafka

    6. Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

    7. The outsiders by SE Hinton

    8. A clockwork Orange

    9. Percy Jackson series

    10. If he had been with me

    11. Joothan by Omprakash Valmiki

    12. Potpourri by Ruskin Bond

Books I definitely didn’t vibe with:

    1. A song of ice and fire. Too dark for me.

    2. Mrs Dalloway. Too dense and I just liked To The Lighthouse better.

    3. Don Quixote. If there was a word for a feeling more intense than hatred, I would use it. I tried so hard to like this book but ig satires are just not for me.

    4. The White Tiger by Adiga.

    5. The Divine Comedy. I liked Paradise Lost better.

    6. Frankenstein. Too boring for me.

    7. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Same as Frankenstein.

    8. Sherlock Holmes. Surprisingly very boring.
