Hi all! I’ve recently started getting into re-reading all of the books that made my childhood special but this time in English instead of my native language (German).
I’m currently on book three of the Eragon book series and with only one more book after this one, I’m trying to quickly find a new fantastical saga to get into. I’m enjoying the series but not as much as I thought I would. Of course my experience now is bound to be different from the experience I had reading the saga almost 10 years ago. That’s why I’m here to ask you guys for book suggestions.
I love stories featuring dragons, magic, fantastical creatures, different races, their cultures and beautifully crafted worlds but what I’m kind of missing from the Eragon saga isn’t necessarily more in terms of politics but exploring more “explicit” things in terms of romance, violence and other mature topics overall. Eragon is awesome, but I would love to read a book that would give me a deeper, much more raw and unfiltered insight into these fantasy worlds.
Please let me know if anything comes to mind so I can finish up my book shop:)

Witchee series
I’ve really enjoyed the Aspect and Anchor series by Ruby Dixon. It’s definitely not high literature but it checks your boxes off! Starts with Bound to the Battle God.
