Hello!
I’ve just recently come across this subreddit and I’m sad I didn’t know about it before.
I’ve been in a slump for like a year now without anything to read. I’m a big fan of historical literature (like modern works set in historical times/about historical events) but I can never find anything good. Any genre with a historical aspect to it will pique my interest.
If anyone’s read The Lost City of the Monkey God, or anything else by Douglas Preston, that’s what I’m looking for. Definitely my thing. As for fiction, I really liked Fever 1793, Pride & Prejudice, Persuasion… any length, any period in history, any author.
If anyone has any recommendations, I’ll absolutely give them a shot. TIA 🙂
