FourFurryFeet23 on May 16, 2024 10:54 pm Donna Leon writes the Commissario Brunetti series, set in Venice. Fantastic series! Andrea Camilleri wrote the Inspector Montalbano, set in fictional town in Sicily. I’ve read several, but not all. Umberto Eco, The Name of the Rose. 14th century Italy. Magdalene Nabb, Marshal Guarnaccia series. Also very good.
