    **Note**: This is a light promotion about a voice reader that I built. If you are not an audiobook/voice reader lover, please save yourself some time and not read this post.

    So many books, but so little time right? Reading books in its natural form is unmatched. But time and focus could be a constraint for some when completing a book/papers.

    So I built myself this audio reader app to save me some time and to improve my productivity. It started as an MVP couple months ago via a post that kinda went viral on r/ChatGPT: [Building audiobooks for any documents (pdf, epub, doc, etc)](https://www.reddit.com/r/ChatGPT/comments/13gjd8h/building_audiobooks_for_any_documents_pdf_epub/)

    Since using Outtloud voice reader, I have been able to get back, up to 30% of my time by just listening to synthesized audio version of books/research papers/docs.

    Outtloud is not just another TTS voice reader, it is a natural-sounding human-like voice reader built by a book lover, dyslexic and a SWE with passion for improving people’s life through technology. I have put an unfair amount of my limited time to create this app and I spent an unfair amount of time on it everyday, improving it based of 100s of feedbacks I receive everyday.

    Recently, I just released the Beta version at [Outtloud – Your #1 Reading & Listening Assistant](https://outtloud.com)

    **Outtloud currently has and plan to have:**

    * 100+ AI voices in over 10 accents
    * Natural sounding human-like voices
    * Focus mode – enhanced reading assistant
    * Translation in over 160 languages
    * ChatGPT integration – Integrate ChatGPT into any document/book for query & summarization

    I have read feedbacks from early users and seeing how this solution have been helping people with reading difficulties read better and save time, it makes me feel happy and motivated. I plan on adding more and more features, making improvements based on users’ feedbacks.
    People have also asked me how Outtloud differs from Speechify and others:
    I have actually built Outtloud as an inspiration from Speechify 🙌. It was a great TTS app and I have used my share of it. But I have come to realized that it is lacking some core features that could really make an actual change if implemented.
    I hope Outtloud will get to where Speechify is someday and maybe even further.
