This is difficult given your request—I’m not sure there’s any horror that doesn’t have *something* that could be a trigger. Even {{The Screaming Staircase}}, which is middle grade, has content that could be considered triggering.
Until I read your post I would have recommended {{The Haunting of Hill House}}, but even though there’s no gore it definitely has content that would be considered triggering.
You should probably look up trigger warnings yourself for anything recommended in this thread.

Lockwood and Co by Jonathan Stroud is pretty spooky, but it does have vague descriptions of corpses and their ghosts. If you’re triggered by blood or squeamish, it’s not for you.
