    Welcome readers,

Have you ever wanted to ask something but you didn’t feel like it deserved its own post but it isn’t covered by one of our other scheduled posts? Allow us to introduce you to our new Simple Questions thread! Twice a week, every Tuesday and Saturday, a new Simple Questions thread will be posted for you to ask anything you’d like. And please look for other questions in this thread that you could also answer! A reminder that this is not the thread to ask for book recommendations. All book recommendations should be asked in /r/suggestmeabook or our Weekly Recommendation Thread.

    Thank you and enjoy!

    1. When you can’t find a book on Storygraph, and fill in the “import book” form where does it import it from?

I’m from a smaller country and read a lot from here and other smaller countries, so Storygraph often doesn’t have the books I’m reading. But never has the “import book” option worked either, so I’m wondering if it’s completely pointless.

What’s the deal with ‘Trail of The Lost’? I took it out randomly and now there is a two month wait to renew… did it get really popular or something?

      Evening everyone,

I was wondering if anyone can help. A friend of mine is looking for a book which is long out of print, by HA Templeton; Vector Putting: The Art and Science of Reading Greens and Computing Break.

He’s no good with computers and has asked me to locate a copy if I can. I’ve looked for places to download it, but so far no luck. If anyone can point me in the direction of a copy or where I might be able to get a pdf, that would be amazing. I myself have no real experience with golf so if anyone could help, i’d be very thankful!

      Thanks in advance

      Hello,

I’m new to reddit but thought I’ll give it a try to see if I can find my favorite book! I’m searching for the **UK limited 500 copies hardcover edition of The Song of Achilles** by Madeline Miller to add to my TSOA collection (ISBN: 9781408826423). Is anyone willing to part with their copy for a reasonable price (please DM me!), or know someone/place that will sell it? Thank you!

    5. How the hell does Amazon work with book covers/editions? I’ve been reading Stephen King for a little under a year now and have noticed that Amazon’s covers are pretty weird (keep in mind this is the French amazon website). I’ll use IT as an example, when searching normally for the paperback version you get the movie tie-in edition, but if you are on another page looking for something else, it suggests IT but this time in a whole another cover, and it doesn’t end there, if you switch from paperback to hardback to paperback again, you get the movie tie-in edition again. Like am I the only one who thinks that’s weird as hell? A few months ago I wanted to buy Firestarter, and it wasn’t there (there was the french version, but not the original), so I just went searching for something else, and while considering buying something else, it showed me Firestarter right there in the recommended tab. How does Amazon work when it comes to this stuff? Is there any way to know exactly where to go to get the edition you want (or don’t)?

How do you read a paperback without bending the covers?

At first, I was only reading hard covers because I thought they were always nicer but I quickly realized this wasn’t the case so I started reading paperbacks and I’m having trouble because I always end up bending the front and back covers while I’m reading. I see a lot of advice about maintaining the spine but not about the covers. Thanks.

Hello readers! I hope you are all well and wonderful. Before saying anything else, let me say this. Making this post took a lot of courage. At first I thought maybe I was being foolish and that maybe there is actually no need for someone whom I could talk to about books and adventures and about wild dreams. But after thinking it over for a long long time, I found myself yearning more and more. And as I am writing this I’m still teetering on the edge, with hope on one side and fear on the other.

I won’t say much about myself. My name is Umer and I’m 19. I think that’s all I must say for I am looking for a mind, a soul, not a body and what I’m interested in is the battle of intellects above anything else.

Think of it like Shams looking for Rumi. I am looking a curious person, a thinker. A person who seeks and asks and wonders. A moonlight dreamer!

Who knows, out of 23.1 M people, there might be someone.

Please reach out to me if you feel like it.

      Thanks!

    8. I am in a book club and we are reading the Goldfinch… this is our first time reading such a long book and we are talking about splitting our book club and doing two sessions for this book rather than reading it all in one go. Any suggestions on what would be a good halfway-ish point to stop for our first book club?

      TIA!!

    9. Hello there, is anyone interested in having a book buddy? To share our thoughts about the books we read, maybe even read a book together and discuss them
