Whenever I need to relax, I turn to The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien.

It whisks me away to Middle-earth, and I get lost in the adventure. Its enchanting narrative, vivid world-building, and endearing characters offer a perfect retreat.

This classic masterpiece immerses me in a world of enchanting narrative, vibrant world-building, and endearing characters. The epic journey of Bilbo Baggins as he traverses through Middle-earth’s wonders takes me on an adventure that keeps me coming back.

It’s like a comforting friend in book form.

If you have a book that provides a similar sense of escape and relaxation, please do share your recommendations.

I’m always on the lookout for new literary adventures!

    Thanks

I’m in my 40s and will always revert to the Chronicles of Narnia when I want to escape

    2. When I want to escape (which is all the time), I usually look for a new world to escape to. But if I had to choose one fictional world to return to, it would be *His Dark Materials*.

The Inheritance Cylce by Christopher Paolini. It’s LOTR with dragons. 100% recommend audiobook. It helped with the elvish and dwarfish names haha
