Basically books with focus on the actual mystery/phenomenon, not on human experience. If there’s some scientific investigation going on the better.
What I’ve read that I like in that style: House of Leaves (Navidson record), Blindsight, Oculus (movie), some scp, motherhorseeyes.
Stuff like The Cipher I liked but I wanted more of a focus on the actual weird thing than on the humans.
