Please recommend me your favorite (or just any really good) translated books. I recently have fallen in love with Japanese and East Asian novels and authors. So I’d also appreciate alot of Japanese lit recs. I like Haruki Murakami, Ryu Murakami, and Osamu Dazai. I tend to gravitate towards sadder or angsty books. I also recently read ‘Swimming in the dark’ and ‘Lie with me’. Both sad, gay, and translated.

My favorite is All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. It’s about a fresh out of boot camp private who dies in his first battle against the aliens invading Earth, only to find himself in a time loop.

One of my favourite books of the last 5 years.
