Sorry if this sounds weird, I’ll elaborate here. I want to read more. My partner reads like he needs it to exist and I used to, but I don’t as much anymore. It’s really hard for me to find a book that I’ll be actively engaged in, besides comics and manga. So here’s what I’m looking for:
A certain voice (prose? writing style?). Authors that I like the writing style of are Terry Pratchett, Louise O’Neill, Patrick Rothfuss, J.K Rowling (please note I’m just stating I like the writing style these authors use.)
I want a fun book or series where adults go on an adventure. I want something immersive; to get mad when they make dumb decisions and celebrate their successes, and feel sad when bad stuff happens. I dont mind if it gets tedious sometimes, and being on any and all swears!
