Repost from r/books that got taken down before I discovered this sub.

I am looking for some recommendation for shorter books that are quick and fun reads. I set a goal for myself to read 52 books this year, and I have 13 books left to reach this goal. I decided to read a lot of larger books earlier on, 500-1000+ pages, but nearing the end I don’t think I’ll have the time to read bigger books knowing what my schedule is like for the remainder of the year.
I’m pretty open to suggestions, Sci-Fi and Fantasy being my main choices, but I am also down to read General-Fiction.
    Thanks!

{{The Time Machine by H. G. Wells}} is a short classic sci-fi. Another short read that I read was {{The Heart of a Dog by Mikhail Bulgakov}} which is a short Russian story.
