I’m not an outsider to these topics, but I feel like I’ve been free styling my whole life. Anything helps: philosophy or statistics, new or classic, fiction or nonfiction, articles or podcasts.

    Topics that interest me:

    Why casual sex is good.

Why waiting until marriage is good.

Raising kids without marriage/living in next door houses.

Being married/long term relationships while living in separate homes.

    Love.

Love at different stages of life and relationships: monogamous and polyamorous.

How do birth control, STD prevention and cures, and DNA tests change the way our relationships work: should jealousy and possessiveness be a thing of the past with these advancements?

Conceiving and raising kids with a friend.

    Communal parenting.

Legitimate arguments, examples, and statistics of polyamory.

    Statistics and surveys on marriage.

    High school sweethearts.

    Porn use.

Modern dating, marriage and child rearing.

Criticisms to Dan Savage and Esther Peril.

    thank you, I love you.

    1. Come As You Are by Emily Nagoski. Science supported with lots of anecdotes to illustrate the science. Very practical and fun.

    2. Some well-renowned books on polyamory and open relationships:

      * [‘More Than Two’](https://www.waterstones.com/book/more-than-two/eve-rickert/franklin-veaux/9780991399703) by Franklin Veaux and Eve Rickert
      * [‘The Ethical Slut’](https://www.waterstones.com/book/the-ethical-slut/janet-w-hardy/dossie-easton/9780399579660) by Janet Hardy and Dossie Easton

[Jessica Fern](https://www.waterstones.com/author/jessica-fern/5113113) has written a few as well but I’m not very familiar with her writing.

It isn’t specifically focused on relationships as a whole, but [‘Invisible Women’](https://www.waterstones.com/book/invisible-women/caroline-criado-perez/9781784706289) by Caroline Criado Perez has some interesting chapters on unpaid work (childcare, housework, etc.) and the division thereof in marriage/domestic relationships.
