    Hello!

I am looking to write a fanfiction in the Harry Potter universe, which heavily features dragons. Now, in HP itself there isn’t a lot to go off of when it comes to them. I also have a pretty limited knowledge when it comes to dragons and stories about them in general.

So I would love to read educational or instructional texts about dragons, both fiction and non-fiction. That could include physical/anatomical aspects, their different types, history in literature, character traits etc. It doesn’t matter, if they fit the HP canon perfectly (I will probably take some liberties and do some mix and match), but it would be good, if it didn’t stray \*too\* far from what could be considered realistic there, so I’d rather not have anything about talking dragons or books where they are the narrators (in HP they seem to be mostly like wild, untamable animals, that mind their own business). But if you’re in doubt, or have a book that you think is just too great not to mention, just recommend it either way, please!

I have scoured this subreddit a bit already and seen “A Natural History of Dragons” byMarie Brennan recommended, though I am more interested in information about dragons than human characters and their arcs, so I am not yet sure if it fits. 🙂

    Thank you!

Giants, Monsters, and Dragons by Carol Rose has a lot of dragon-related entries. It’s helpful to search the text for the keyword dragon.
