I’ve been enjoying Nnedi Okorafor the last few years. Binti is really good, but the sequels were a bit meh. Remote Control is great. I’m listening to a collection of short stories right now called Kabu Kabu

If you like Fantasy, Evan Winter has “The Burning Series” which I think is phenomenal. He’s still writing it (first two books are done) but it’s awesome. I didn’t know anything about the series or Winter, but got the audio book by chance and the VA is great and really drives home the African base of the story.
