    Such a heartbreaking book. I don’t know if this reflects on Kafka’s life itself, or if he wrote it in a way to express how he felt with his life, if that’s in fact the case, it’s probably the saddest book I’ve ever read. The story of Gregor Samsa as a parallel to Kafka’s own insecurities and view of himself it’s just so tragic. Really changed my way of viewing the book in the begining from an absurditst satire on burocracy to a cry for help from the author.

      I read it this summer and I believe it was his view of how other people saw him in his personal life. Feeling estranged, alienated and bizarre, even among the members of his immediate family. Not being able to communicate his feelings, as if they weren’t speaking the same language. A masterpiece
