Wow, this was an excellent reads I originally had come across a quote from Dostoevsky and I wanted to read the book it came from. My internet detective mode actually led me to THE WRONG BOOK. But I am very glad it did.
This book took me quite a while. Perhaps it was just the translation I came across, but certain things were difficult to keep up with. (Mainly characters with several names that are used interchangeably).
As a Protestant, it was interesting to read a book written by someone of a different branch of Christianity. And for a story published in 1880, it holds its weight. I really look forward to reading more of his books down the road.
After all I experienced in this, I’m taking a short break from long novels.
