A while ago I played through Disco Elysium, and I did my route as the Protagonist trying to become a sober, better person after a very rough life. The game was confronting at times, but there was some hope – that you were gonna be okay, and you could build a better life for yourself despite everything.
So I guess I’m looking for a story with the same kind of tone or themes. Someone working to make a better life for themselves (and maybe others too). Something hopeful in all the mess of life
