For me, it would have to be Catch – 22 by Jospeh Heller.
After reading several reddit threads on the book, I bought it. When I started to read it, I was expecting a book full of laugh out loud moments and sharp criticism of the madness of war. However, I found it to be rather boring and unfunny. A real slog to get through. Maybe I just didn’t “get” it because I have never served in the military. IDK. Maybe I was just expecting too much from it.
