You know those people who seem 100% sure of their own value (not just false confidence bred from insecurity) and aren’t phased by others’ opinions? And you can tell just by how they behave that they aren’t door mats? I need a book that gives tips on how to keep that power. For example, staying silent longer and reading the room before speaking up. Or not defending or overexplaining yourself and your decisions. Or not laughing nervously after your own comments. Concrete action to take that signals to others that you are secure. I know that comes from doing the work, and I’m on it, but I can supplement with some practical tips. Ideas?
