I want to get back into reading but I’m so over the tropes I can find at the bookstores. (Girl/boy moves to a new area and only has one parent and has to overcome something weird about their new place, bla bla bla) Not all are bad but I’m having trouble navigating.
Growing up I absolutely loved Mary Downing Hahn, April Genevieve Tucholke, Dan Wells, and Apocalyptic type stories like H20. Twists from original fairytales are also on the table.
I’m currently trying my hardest to finish The Cruel Prince story line from Holly Black but will want something to bounce to and from with.
