Just finished it. It was an extremely bizarre book, just being through the lens of someone that thinks about things for the most part differently than we do. The whole thing was very surreal, by design I’m sure.
Don’t get me wrong, I quite enjoyed it just on “what the hell is going on here?” level. I gave it a solid 4/5.
But wtf was the deal with the hyper sexuality? It seemed so out of place (and honestly kinda odd coming from a male author in the mind of a female character, just the way things were described). I’m not knocking the book because of it but help me understand why that was such an emphasis? I was expecting some explanation or plot reasoning for that later but it never came. Or did I miss something obvious with that thematically?
