Ever since Cass almost drowned (Ok She did drown, but she doesnt like to think about it), she can pull back the veil that separates the living and the dead… And enter the world of spirits, her best friend is even a ghost.

Her parents start hosting a tv show about the worlds most haunted locations, their first trip leads them to Edinburgh Scottland. where the graveyards, castles and secret passage ways teem with restless spirits. She soon meets a girl with the same gift as her and realizes she has more to learn about the veil and herself.

This was honestly a good spooky book with a interesting look at ghosts. with a interesting friendship. And honestly I really enjoyed every bit of it.

Cassidy is a good character with a unique gift that allows her to see more to this world then what we see. Which honestly seeing her few thoughts and insights on spirits makes for some decent dialog.

Jacob her ghost best friend made me chuckle so much, I loved their dynamic and how you can tell they care for each other, but there is still a good amount of mystery around Jacob. with the ending>! revealing that when Jacob saved Cassidy from dying she saved him from something!< So The mystery around Jacob is really pulling me in.

The setting gives off this rainy atmosphere once we get to scottland, plus learning about some of the area’s history just made me giddy. Plus some scenes were really spooky.

The Raven in Red was a decent villain who did feel scary, The lore behind the character fits the typical ghost stories of a mother who goes mad. which is really creepy.

    Over all a fun book.
