hi I’m new to the sub and am desperately looking for an age gap book that I’ll actually enjoy and not cringe at. if anyone has read Penelope Douglas book Birthday girl, the main love interest is older than her, but there is no powerplay or intense almost porny daddy kink (not shaming btw it’s the only way I can describe it). I really enjoyed that type of male character that is still sweet and doesn’t have a short temper or is cold. with that being said, does anybody have a rec for an age gap relationship where the man is actually sweet not overbearingly, does not abuse the age gap and is not cold towards the love interest? angst/dark tropes are appreciated too, trust that haha.
