Hi book friends! Could anyone recommend good western for my niece who is 17 years old. She’s been playing red dead redemption and just really likes riding around and has taken up saying howdy and stuff. She loves comics and books and so We looked at the bookstore for a good western and found nothing that looked good. No comics about westerns and all the books looked like cheesy romance novels except with the hot couple in am embrace two rugged cowboys doing cowboy stuff. Any suggestions would be appreciated

I’m a lot like your niece – I loved watching my partner play RDR2, which I highly recommend if she hasn’t played it yet! (In my opinion, it’s better than RDR, which my partner has also played.)
As far as books go, I’m currently reading Lonesome Dove! Heads up, it’s pretty dark in a few places, but the character development is really good, and so are the characters’ relationships with each other. You also get a lot of scenes of cowboys stealing cattle from ranchers, herding livestock across rivers, playing cards and drinking, etc.
