Looking for suggestions!:)I recently read A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara and although I have my qualms with the book, some aspects I truly enjoyed. I realized I find great comfort in books with little to no plot. By that I mean realistic fiction where you really get to know and love the characters deeply. Something where the only real purpose of the book is becoming a part of their lives. I don’t know if this is a bad description and if it is I apologize. I’ve just gotten into reading for the sake of enjoyment and am trying to find the style in which I enjoy most. I just want to read something where I feel like I truly was a fly on the wall.

I would suggest A Painted House by John Grisham. Kind is monotonous for my taste, but it had a few twists and turns to keep it a bit interesting. But it sounds like it’d be right up your alley.
Monica Dickens wrote some great books like that. the happy prisoner is probably my favourite.
Anne Tyler is kinda famous for that. Little slice of life books about families and marriages.
