Most of them often show that Scrooge lived comfortably while his workers were miserable but the book indicated that he lived a miserly lifestyle. His home was barely heated and lit and he ate gruel. Also, in most adaptations, he only changes when he sees that he will die and all his wealth would be taken from him, indicating his motivation to change was still greed, whereas he started changing for the better from the first time he saw Tiny Tim. He was also more distraught that people would not miss him or mourn his death than the fact his wealth would be taken, such as when he begged the spirit to show him someone who was affected by his death. Does this bother anyone else?

    1. Most of the adaptations of that book I’ve seen show him living a miserly lifestyle. I can’t think of a single one that doesn’t.
