Looking for a book for a 30M who likes reading but doesn’t do it often

I would like to get a book for my bf (30M). We give each other a book every year but I never get it right!!
He likes to read but he doesn’t read too much. He has history, economics and sci-fi, even manga books. I know it’s very general, but I’m open to any theme..could anyone help me?
