Not exactly slice of life, but where the stakes are high enough that there’s a sense of adventure, but low enough that the characters can relax and enjoy life once in a while. And by real-life problems, I don’t mean teenage romance and love triangles (unless it’s the kind of problems that real-life couples face like long distance relationships, miscommunication, differences about having children, etc). Basically, I want a series which deals with everyday problems like imposter syndrome, backward class mobility, ennui, difficulty of adult friendships, etc as side plots or themes, but the whole world is different and you just love seeing how they live.

Have you read the Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss? It’s a fantasy series about a kid going to a school for magic. Kind of like adult Harry Potter, but with student loans.
There is a larger story at play, but a lot of it is the day-to-day life of a group of friends. Not my favorite, but I like it. World building is pretty good.
That’s the one that immediately comes to mind. I’ll chew on it a little more
