Recently, I read (listened, rather) to “Endurance: Shackleton’s Incredible Voyage” by Alfred Lansing and “The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt’s Darkest Journey” by Candice Millard. I’m looking for book recommendations (preferably available in audio form) that similarly tell incredible adventures stories and capture the essence of exploration in its purest form.
Could be stories from any era (centuries ago or recent) about any kind of exploration (rivers, mountains, underwater, space, etc.) Thanks!
