I ain’t gonna lie, the conversation me and my wife had about this book is comical and probably immature. I had no idea it was a book until we spoke.
“I thought about reading this book.”
“Tell me about it”
“I hear it’s a great fantasy story with fairies and it gets spicy. I’ve seen some people say them and their partner went crazy on each other.”
“So it’s about horny fairies?”
“No, not like that.”
“Well, hell yeah.”
I ended up getting the book on Libby after a very short wait. I gotta say that I enjoyed the plot. I’m not really the biggest reader when it comes to fantasy novels but there are some I enjoyed. It definitely is a great plot and it’s not about “horny fairies”
I see why people talk about it so much and I plan on reading the others too. I’d love to hear opinions from those here who have read it too.

maas is hated on this sub. the books were great for what they were. they weren’t “high” literature or anything. but for the brain candy they are? great. i read them all with my lady on audiobook on libby. we’ve since bought her entire output on audible. they’re great fun.
i hope you don’t get a lot of “maas is trash. how dare you like her” crap from the people on this sub.
I love this! I’ve read the series, it does get spicier, lol. I understand that this series gets a lot of criticism, but I enjoyed it for what it is. It really isn’t that deep, but it’s a fun ride. A Court of Silver Flame is my favorite so far in the series, I love the direction SJM is taking things.
It’s horny and dumb as hell. Which is fine, because most people are that way too.
