I just finished “A Short History of Nearly Everything” and adored it!! I inhaled the content, research, and witty, often laugh-out-loud writing. Two questions: (1) Has anyone come across a book, article, or podcast updating the book’s science? It’s 20 years old, and the field of genetics (for one) has exploded in that time! I’d imagine a lot of the conventional wisdom on early human populations/migrarions has changed in 20 years; (2) Are there other science writers and/or books that are similar? Well-researched and fun to read for non-experts? THANKS!!
