    1. I have several, one for each book and some spares. My favourite is an outpass from the MCG Members’ stand.

I’m trying to learn not to dog ear or otherwise fold my pages. My boyfriend bought me a handmade Beauty and the Beast bookmark from Etsy. It’s a very special movie and story to me. The image is the stained glass at the end of the movie, with Belle and Beast together.

I used a sticky note or paper scrap. Not a cool bookmark, just something safe for the book.

    4. I own a lot of bookmarks; I’ve never counted, but there must be 100 by now. I collect independent bookstore ones and friends and family buy me fancy ones when they travel (My parents got me a Library of Congress one as a teen which was how that started). I love me a good bookmark!

    5. I have a really nice Harrow the Ninth bookmark printed on card stock I got from an online store, been using it for about a year now

I also bought a Gideon the Ninth and a Sixth House one from the same seller and use them as wall decoration, I really like how the light hits off the gold foil edges of them, planning on buying the full set at some point

    6. I usually use a bookmark, a local bookstore had a bunch of different pride flag bookmarks made up for pride month 2022 but they ordered way too many so they were handing them out for free way into 2023 and now they’re just permanently there. I have like 30 of them now👍
Sometimes if I don’t have one within reach I’ll use the dust jacket flap (if I’m reading a hardcover) or just some random piece of paper!

I like to buy bookmarks when I travel and I use those. The ones I use the most are from Egypt, Paris, and Stockholm.

    8. I have a hallmark card that has the word “CONGRATULATIONS” spammed all over it.

    9. Actual bookmarks, business cards, receipts, whatever is around. I love those little page clips, too.

    10. I use a nice black, leather bookmark. I’ve used this for so long now that I’ll probably never change it

I have bookmarks from stores, leather bookmarks, wooden bookmarks. I like collecting them 🙂

    12. I have several cut strips of plain paper I stick in, but in the past, I’ve used things as random as a ripped piece of napkin to a tissue to a pen or anything else lying around.

When my grandfather passed I found a piece of paper with the quote “things to do today” and two people laying naked together. It was taped over and now serves as a phenomenal bookmark.

    14. I use Postcards.

Whenever my friends travel or go back to their hometown/city, they get me postcards. I’ve always loved postcards but in the recent years, I’ve grown to love them a whole lot more.

    15. Dog ear (if I own the book) … I really thought that was the default option for people until I started seeing threads like this on reddit.
