i’m looking for any autobiographies or memories by people who aren’t historical figures that take place during/after big historical moments. i enjoy reading people’s personal experiences and life stories so any suggestions would be great. i’m not looking for any historical event in particular just anything interesting!

“This Time Next Year We’ll Be Laughing” by Jacqueline Winspear (memoir from current day author of a great book series) that talks about her growing up in England with parents and grandparents who talked a lot about times between The Great War and WW2 England that is the inspiration for many of the storylines of her “Maisie Dobbs” series. The author is also a great narrator and did her own audiobook narration.
