I really appreciate the the scope and commitment Mitchell gave to Cloud Atlas. Right now, with less than a 100 pages to go, I’m not sure I completely comprehend it, but it’s certainly well written. Now is about that time when I start looking at my want to read list in order to make a new discovery.
I have a fondness for speculative, dystopian and alternative history fiction. Yiddish Policeman’s Union, The Plot Against America and The Years of Rice and Salt are favorites. Recently, I feel in love with Octavia Butler’s Earthseed series and Paul Lynch’s Prophet Song. Haruki Murakami is probably my most read author. With that background, anyone have suggestions?
