I’m heavily into my “all things reading” era and have been listening to some podcasts that are kinda look a book club where it’s 2-3 people who read a book and talk about it.

The latest one is Reading Glasses. I love the in depth look into the books and how they talk about not only specific books, but reading culture in general, like reading with background music or if they are okay with spoilers or not. What I’ve noticed though, is I haven’t heard them dislike a book before. They always seem to love whatever book they discuss, which is fine, they don’t want to be negative and I still do love listening.

The second podcast is Books N’ Betches. This is way more about reviewing the books and I LOVE their friendship/chemistry they have. Their tagline being “we Swear, we Spoil, and we talk about Sex”. It feels like girls gabbing about what they’ve read. They, unlike the previous podcast, will absolutely shit on a book if they have a reason. I’m looking for a podcast much more like this one, where the hosts might not be as in depth, but truly give their opinions and why.

    Any suggestions?

    1. Sometimes the New York Times Book Review does a bit where they all discuss what they’re reading, they’re always honest in that. I remember a discussion about how exhausting Ulysses is, and another about how none of them get the hype around Sally Rooney.
