I think you might enjoy The Reckoning by John Grisham.
It’s real, it’s the hard stuff and the faith to get through. Seeing the challenges of faith from every angle is powerful in this book.
If you’re looking for something inherently Christian I recommend The shack by WM. Paul Young
I highly recommend everything by Michael D. O’Brien. He is probably my favorite living novelist, Christian or otherwise.
I also recommend _Laurus_ by Eugene Vodolazkin.
