Is anyone else bothered by the recent (to me at least) trend towards rough feeling book covers? I have returned books to the shelf because I couldn’t bear the texture but I have 2 that were given to me and I want to read but have these terrible covers. Any idea on how to make them less “yucky” to touch? I’ve already tried telling myself to stop being such a big baby.

Maybe making your own dust jacket if they’re hardcover?
I’ve also used a vinyl adhesive sticker on paperbacks that I DNF listed to make them into decorative books.
