I’m looking for a book with primal tension, roughing around/fighting/wrestling and enemies eventually leading to lovers. My best example is Heir of Fire by SJM and the beginning of Rowan and Aelin’s relationship. I did try to read Fourth Wing, but felt Xaden’s character development was a bit lacking. I also read Haunting Adeline and I strongly disliked that dynamic and how it felt forced and unsafe…that one went a little to far for me.
It doesn’t need to be strictly romance, I’m open to any genre that just has that more primal feel to it. Hopefully that makes sense! Thank you!
