The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Immortality were groundbreaking for me at the time of University but that was decades ago.
If you read these works and you’re an adult, what are your thoughts on them now? Do you view these novels as targeted to a university age audience or do you find them relevant now/timeless? I remember reading Immortality first and being less impressed with The Unbearable Lightness of Being, did you have a preference?
Are they worth a reread? Is there anything new that you would put in the same vein, such as a similar author or specific work of fiction?
At the time I felt these books were a cross between fiction literature and philosophical text. I also remember the writing being beautiful.
