okay not really.
but i want the book to open with our FL, who somehow interacted with out ML, either she saw him in a cafe reading a book or sitting in a bench by a lake, or our FL saved our ML from an accident or something, or vice versa
basically they somehow met.
and then they didn’t.
so now i want the FL to be in a like “i wish i could meet him again, i dont even know why i’m thinking about him all day, i want to know more about him he is so mysterious and quiet i wish he would get closer to me” kind of feeling, like the author describes our FL’s curiosity and attraction very clearly and beautifully, to be precise.
just like our FL, i want us readers to embark on a journey of love and curiosity of our ML, i want the writer to describe the ML that makes the FL and us to go really curious like “goodness why are you so handsome? what do you think about all day? how do you talk like honey? how are you so fucking smart? why are you so guarded and distant? when will you open up to me?”
and PLEASE LET THERE BE ANGST, i want the tension between them to cackle like electricity, i want the angst to feel me up and choke me and cry for them, i want the writer to describe our FL and ML so beautifully that you cannot help but admire them and root for their relationship.
❌ what i dont want:
=> just because our ML seems mysterious and cold on the surface DOESNT MEAN HE CAN BE RUDE or behave like andrew tate ass shit alpha, he can be imperfect but he has to be mature. i hate writers who romanticize unnecessary rude behavior with FL characters. 24/7 and unreasonable grumpiness isnt romantic. like cmon we want to fall in love with our ML, let there be good men for once, at least in fiction.
✅ what i DO want:
=> ML is older than FL or same age, maybe he is going through something difficult like mentall illness or grief which explains his mysteriousness and quietness and our FL is the person he slowly becomes comfortable with. also he doesnt have to be a ceo or anything but i dont want him to work under anybody.
=> this book isnt only about ML, i also want the FL to have internal conflict just like our ML has, our ML is also curious about the FL. (ahem, falling in love, cough)
i want the writer to describe all of these very beautifully, like we are watching their relationship grow like trees all the way from the soil, or reading the book feels romantic like walking in the rain at midnight.
and of course, i know i know, you will never find a romance book that will completely satisfy my bizarre list, but i do believe in miracles.
