Hi there, I’ve been scrolling through this subreddit for about 15 minutes now, and I’m so happy I found it. I have the toughest time finding books, but lemme see the magic of reddit do its work.

Quick Background: 22M third year college student studying Business/Economics in San Diego.

I grew up, and it continues to be my favorite book of all time just because how the main character makes me feel and I see myself in him, and that’s Catcher in the Rye. Fully completed it at least three times, and parts here and there. I love classic novels (Gatsby, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, Lord of Flies), especially great American novels. I read the harry potter series during quarantine for the first time, and realized I really like Fantasy outside of my passion for fiction novels.

Sci-fi has to be my favorite genre of movies, but haven’t found, or just can’t seem to find great sci fi outside of 1984 or Fahrenheit 451. Think I just have a hard time finding books, or knowing where to look. Read half of Dune, but jesus found it to be a hard read. Love it for the most part, but read it as a summer read and school cut off my completion of the book.

I’m taking two philosophy courses right now (existentialism and Love and Sex), and been trying to read more philosophy.

Looking to read shorter books right now. Thank you!
