I’ve grown picky over the years and now I have trouble finding books, if you know something that fits my parameters, please, suggest.
* **3rd person POV**
* stand alone books only
* no romance/romance only as a background plot
* no crime
* preferably under 500 pages
* preferably adult main characters

Maybe ‘The House on the Cerulean Sea’? The protagonist is an adult male, but there are children in the main cast. There is a romance but I would personally consider it a side plot as it’s not the focus of the story. This book is completely outside of what I would normally read but I ended up loving it and consider it the most wholesome book I’ve ever read.
