Is there any classic lit with a similar vibe of the 2019 movie The Lighthouse?

Doesn’t have to be nautical. Just kind of wacky, unhinged, relationship driven. (Horror and mysterious supernatural elements are a bonus)

I really love when stories have to make interesting things happen in a limited cast, limited setting, or limited time frame.

Like I love the play Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and The Yellow Wallpaper.
