Check out your local library, they’ll usually have an app where you can listen to audiobooks for free

    2. Check to see if your state has a digital library. In Ohio, we do. It includes all of the libraries in the state which increases the number of books to choose from. I use the Libby app. I think it is good everywhere. You set your preferences for audio books. I read book reviews in the New York Times, then search for those titles in Libby. New books always have a waiting list but I build up a backlog so that one is becoming available frequently. There are also thousands of audio books available immediately because they are older.

And depends on the library system. Recently I have gotten popular audiobooks at 9pm Pacific time the day before release bc of East Coast release at midnight. Public Libraries (incl Libby & Hoopla) & librarians are amazing & awesome. Please ALWAYS vote for their funding in your local elections.
