*On Writing* (Stephen King), *Sometimes the Magic Works* (Terry Brooks), *Bird by Bird* (Anne Lammot), and most importantly *Elements of Style* (Strunk and White)

Eats, Shoots & Leaves by Lynne Truss

It Was the Best of Sentences, It Was the Worst of Sentences by June Casagrande

Both of which are on my shelf right now.

    3. Elements of Style, be sure to get the Maira Kalman illustrated version, which helps elevate a rather dry subject.

    4. *Excercises in Style* by Raymond Queneau offers excellent insight into how diction and conscious adoption of rhetorical devices plays a role in how a story feels.

    5. Fiction:

Self-Editing for Fiction Writers by Renni Browne and Dave King

Stein on Writing by Sol Stein

The Hero’s Two Journeys by Michael Hauge and Christopher Vogler

      Nonfiction:

On Writing Well by William Zinsser

Win Your Case by Gerry Spence

      Business Writing:

The Only Business Writing Book You’ll Ever Need by Laura Brown

Cold Email Manifesto by Alex Berman

The Brain Audit by Sean D’Souza

      Hope this helps.

A Swim in a Pond in the Rain, by George Saunders. The author is a professor of writing and this book (I listened to the audiobook) feels like attending a really great lecture series.
