Hi readers! I love all books, but to go to sleep my husband and I put on an audio book. It really helps when it’s a story we are really familiar with because then it doesn’t matter if someone falls asleep. So far the best case has been Catch Me If You Can and all the Harry Potter books. We are on HP book 6 currently so I’m wondering what to download next. Not particularly big HP fans, just know the plots so well because of pop culture.

Just looking for suggestions – if we don’t know the story yet it could be fun to work backwards and watch a movie based on the book, then spend a month listening to said book.

What do you think? I’m the one who stays awake longest and it helps me not think about work when the story is good, so just hit me with your best shots.

Ah such a good question, depending on what kind of feel you’re going for: thrillers such as silence of the lambs and a lot of Stephen king such as the shining are absolute favourites of line
If you’re looking more in the Harry Potter line of stories there is your classic series such as the hunger games, maze runner etc
Not so much pop culture yet – but the wheel of time is at the start of a series on Amazon and could be a similar vein to what you’re thinking as well

Well I know two of them Game of thrones and The Witcher. (Now i don’t know how accurately they have been adapted from books, I have not watched the TV series)

The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings series in audiobook form might help you fall asleep in a jiffy. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by Baum, The Princess Bride by Goldman, and The Godfather by Puzo might also be pop culture possibilities.

    4. Believe it or not, Planet of the Apes was loosely based on a book. While I do enjoy the film it inspired more (the 1968 version), I must stress that I really was surprised at how much I ended up liking the original novel.
